From Vedic period, women have been given peerless position as she is responsible for PrakritiDharana (Prasavam) and for creation of entire human race. In Ayurveda, Prasuti and stree Roga refers to obstetrics and gynecology, and obstetrics deals with the management of pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care.On the other hand, StreeRogarefers to women's health in general, covering not just reproductive health but also other aspects such as mental health, nutrition and aging. The principles of Ayurveda emphasize the importance of maintaining a balance between the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of a women and this is achieved through proper diet, lifestyle and herbal remedies.
Objectives of department
- The main objective is to promote healthy progeny through pre-conceptional counseling which starts from birth of female fetus.
- To maintain healthy state of female reproductive system.
- To prevent and treat of female reproductive disorder through holistic approach as
- To maintain healthy pregnacy, as GarbhiniParicharya (antenatal care) through Ayurveda.
- To delivered healthy fetus and promote normal labour without harm to female reproductive system through natal care.
- To gain strength of pre-pregnant state of female reproductive organ through SutikaParicharya (post natal care).
Facilities of department:
- We have well equipped OPD and 15 bedded IPD for gynecologic and obstetrics patients
- We have well equipped and well developed procedure room for special procedures for gynecological disorders like Uttarbasti (Instilation of drug into uterus through cervix), Yoni Prakshalan (vaginal douche), Yoni pichu(tampon), Yoni dhoopa (fumigation), Yoni pooran (vaginal packing) etc.
- We have well equipped labour room.
- We are providing special care for women during pregnancy (Garbhini Paricharya) and after delivery( Sutika Paricharya)
- We are provide Garbha Sanskara sessions to the pregnant lady
- We organize regularly female health checkup camp and aware females about menstrual regimens and reproductive health.
